Laura and i had a movie marathon in the days before we left for Malaysia. we watched Hollywood Homicide, Taking Lives, Swimfan, Troy, Calcium Kid, and Donnie Darko. Let me just tell you that unless you are really interested in seeing Brad Pitt mostly naked, there is no point in watching Troy. What a waste of time that movie was. However, Garrett something-or-othere (the one that plays brad's cousin) is a severe hottie! cut that hair a bit, put him in some nice dirty-wash jeans, and throw a guitar on him, and i'd be good to go!!! anyway, we're watching the movie, and Paris comes on and i'm like, "ok, who did he play in Lord of the Rings--Lost-A-Leg?"

Laura of course cracked up and said, "Legolas!"

Me: "Legless--Lost-A-Leg....what's the difference, either way, he's still missing a leg."

and she was laughing even harder now. "Not LEG-LESS; L-E-G-O-L-A-S!"

that was rather amusing to me.

then in Malaysia, we were laying in bed and i was getting all goofy. i couldn't sleep and in our tiny little hotel room and i told laura that. i was like, "i can't sleep. i'm hypoglysemic--i don't like small spaces." she of course just cracked up at that. i'm retarded.

allow me to move on...here's us flying into Malaysia:

"OH MY GOSH! LAND-HO!"  I know that is one of the most awful pictures of me [and my 3 chins] but it was too funny.

anyway, here's the real scoop on Penang, Malaysia. I didn't bring a lot of money with me because....well, i didn't have a lot of money to bring! lol. Transportation was so expensive, it's an Islamic country (a.k.a. no beef!) so our hamburgers were more like pork roll (ewwwwwww), and the movie theater was under construction. HOWEVER....our hotel overlooked the beach, and that was where we spent most of our time. So here are a bunch of beach shots i thought you may lust after. :0)

That is a big jellyfish, for those of you that may not know what that blob is.

I took the first one with my own trusty arm, but then this guy--Ali--came up and offered to take the 2nd one. and then he proceeded to hit on us. lol

those are laura's feet, by the way.

here i am trying to climb up the cliff, and there i am on top of it. (it's actually two different rocks, but you get the idea)

i just enjoyed this first pic. laura refused to swim out to the rock with me, so she took the picture.

that was the sunset on thursday night. it was amazing!

this is for lorena, and whoever knew my search for hot pink ear muffs last year. yeah, who would have thought i'd find them at a mall in malaysia when  it's in the 90's outside. lol

so in this picture, i'm supposed to look all cold, but i was really sweating b/c it was like 80 <strike>million</strike> degrees in our room!

let me tell you what, though....i'm am soooooooo thrilled to be home in Chiang Mai!
